We don’t know about you, but we're feeling energized and excited for a beautiful fall season!
Summer seemed to whiz by, and suddenly we are seeing mums in planters, the beginning of leaves changing, and feeling those dark mornings.
Our team has been busy serving customers while the fall frenzy lasts, but we still like to get out and about and enjoy the fall season.
We’ve put together a few of our “fall favourites” in case you’re looking for something to do:
Drive Around. Oxford County is really pretty this time of year. The fall leaves are just started, but within the next six weeks is truly a prime time. We aren’t the only ones with this idea because Tourism Oxford has put together three routes based on activities: https://www.tourismoxford.ca/trip_ideas/seasons/fall/3_routes_to_satisfy_your_fall_colour_craving.aspx/. Don’t be shy to grab a coffee, put the radio on and sightsee with your family.
Stay Local. We’re all a little more budget-conscience these days, so why not explore within Woodstock? We’re not afraid to admit we’ve bought a few delicious cookies from Two Guys and a Whisk, had a nice coffee from Dee-Lights Bakery Café, and walked around downtown Woodstock aimlessly for a few hours. If you’re looking for more a night-time activity, consider stopping by Upper Thames Brewing Company for one of their live music or trivia nights and leaving with some samplers.
Farm Edutainment. It’s not fall if you haven’t picked an apple at a local farm. Or, at least had some pie (mmmmm pie). There are many farms within Woodstock, but a short drive away is also Snyder’s Farm, which is more of a family experience. We really like their fall campfires – something about that smell! There is also a petting zoo, a jumping pillow (if you know, you know), even haunted houses. It will keep kids busy for HOURS. Check out their website for details: https://snydersfamilyfarm.com/fall-farm-tickets/
Farmers’ Market. The Fairgrounds Mutual Building at 875 Nellis Street, Woodstock hosts the Woodstock Farmers’ Market Saturdays 7am-12pm. A full list of vendors is here: https://woodstockfairgrounds.com/market_vendors_listing
Wow! There really is lots to do this fall in Woodstock & Oxford County!
