Hi Woodstock!
First off, we want to thank the Woodstock and Oxford County community for being so welcoming to us. We’re having a great time and our first year in Woodstock has been absolutely wonderful. We’ve met so many cool people in this community and they are always giving us ideas on how to spend the weekend, so we thought we would share this with the broader community.
Here are 3 things to do in and around Woodstock and Oxford County this spring…and summer too!
Forks and Corks: Does 3 hours of sampling Woodstock and Oxford County’s best drinks and local produce and drinks sound good to you, because we sure think so! Forks and Corks takes place 2 weeks from today, on Tuesday, March 24, 2020 from 6pm-9pm at the Oxford Auditorium, 875 Nellis Street in Woodstock. We love the look of the vendors lined up, especially the Upper Thames Brewing Company, Brickhouse Brewery & Two Guys And A Whisk. Dairy Capital Cheese Fest: Little known fact about Woodstock - it’s the dairy capital of Ontario! We’re kidding, everyone in Woodstock knows this. On May 30, 2020 from 11am-5pm, Ingersoll will host the 5th Annual Dairy Capital Cheese Fest at the Ingersoll Cheese and Agricultural Museum. The event also has beer, wine, coffee, honey, chocolate and baked goods, but the main participant is cheese. Check out the schedule: http://www.dairycapitalcheesefest.ca/site/schedule and bring your appetite.
Cowapolooza 19: This. Looks. Incredible. We only found out about this event after it happened last August, so this year we have it pinned to our calendar. Two free concerts, lots of food trucks, displays, milking contest and everything COWS. Running on August 14-15, 2020 in Southside Park, 192 Old Wellington Street, Woodstock, it certainly looks like a good time! The acts haven’t been announced just yet, but based on previous years, they’ll be good. Keep on the lookout for more details: https://www.cityofwoodstock.ca/en/live-and-play/cowapolooza.aspx
