We find fall to be a busy time for self-storage. This is because it’s a transitional season for our customers. They are eager to get to Storage Solutions before the first big snowfall to store their seasonal summer items that are taking up much-needed room at home and for winter vehicle storage and motorcycle storage.
Sports cars, classic cars and motorcycles do not fare well in the winter months if stored outside in the harsh elements. The combination of cold, wet and salty conditions can cause costly damage and rust. Often there is not enough room in the garage for an extra vehicle (let alone a single vehicle or a spare set of tires, or the seasonal stuff that you stacked in there to make room in the house). That’s why renting a self-storage unit, like our steel 8’x20’ storage container, is a perfect solution for storing your vehicle or motorcycle (or both) during the winter season.
Even if you have room to store your summer car or motorcycle at home in your garage, we’ve learned that people often must decide between using their garage to park their vehicles(s) or storing their summer and seasonal stuff. A lot of the time, the car loses and ends up parked outside in the driveway during the winter. Renting a self-storage unit for your summer stuff and seasonal belongings over the winter will not only make room for your car or truck in the garage, but it will also make snow removal in your drive way easier and faster since you won’t have to maneuver around them. And it means that you can get where you need to go a little quicker because you won’t have to constantly be scraping snow and ice off your vehicle or defrosting it from its ice-cube state from spending the day or night in freezing cold temperatures. Wouldn’t that be amazing?
We’re proud to share that we’ve been making winter car storage and motorcycle storage safe, easy and affordable for 20+ years. We’ve learned many pro tips and tricks that help our car storage customers get the ultimate protection while storing their car with us. Check out these car storage tips which cover preparing your car for storage, taking it out of storage and everything in-between.
This fall, we look forward to seeing our loyal regular customers return for winter car storage and we’re excited to meet our new customers and help them with their self-storage needs!
